The long time owner and licensee, has decided to call last orders after a very successful career at this popular and well known inn. They had purchased the pub in the early sixties and it has remained in the family every since.
An attractive and substantial stone built traditional inn with plenty of character, It enjoys an elevated position on the edge of a National Trust estate with extensive views over the beautiful River Tamar and Tamar Valley. The inn is situated within a mile of the National Trust's Cotehele House and about three miles from St Mellion Golf Club. Plymouth, Tavistock, Liskeard and Saltash are all within a short drive from the inn which is also about 25 miles from the Eden Project.
The property is reputed to have been first licensed in 1841 and is believed to be one of only seven pubs in the country with the same name. Over the 40 years, the family have collected a fascinating selection of original furniture and memorabilia that compliment the large oak beamed trading areas, creating a warm and welcoming ambience. The inn appeals to a wide audience of locals and regulars, together with tourists and day trippers. The Who'd Have Thought It has a good reputation for food and well kept traditional ales and features in several major pub guides.
The inn has a total of five main trading areas including three bars, a main dining area (70 covers) and a family conservatory (36 covers). There is a fully equipped commercial kitchen, extensive back of house space and stores, a bay garage and trade garden with magnificent views.

It also has an attractive three bedroom owned flat and a further private conservatory with a small secluded garden, along with two car parks providing ample parking.
Matt Bettesworth commented that in his opinion it represents the classic unspoilt country inn surrounded by beautiful rural landscapes. "It is the sort of pub that someone is just going to fall in love with," he said.
